It's finally over!!! Judy and Teresa celebrate episodes 19-20 of "Black Knight” (흑기사) with plenty of eagle caw caws and bitter cackling. This KBS drama stars Shin SeKyung, Kim RaeWon, Seo JiHye and Jang MiHee.
The two bright spots of this week were that Youngmi (Shin SoYul) finally wore a piece of clothing we liked and that Gon (Park SungHoon) got a good haircut. Everything else was poorly constructed nonsense and torture.
Next week is a "First Impressions" episode! We're watching the first episodes of "Cross" (TVN), "Mother" (TVN), "Evergreen" (OCN/Dramafever) and "Go Go Waikiki (JTBC), so join us!

Penultimate Week Syndrome Alert! Judy and Teresa are listless as they talk about episodes 17-18 of "Black Knight” (흑기사), a KBS drama starring Shin SeKyung, Kim RaeWon, Seo JiHye and Jang MiHee.
It's getting to the point where we can't tell if this is the Penultimate Week Syndrome screwing with us or if this drama is just terribly bad. Judy just hates every character now. Teresa lists off all the tropes crammed into this week: jealousy-motivated murder attempt, amnesia, calling off a wedding, cutting the brakes on a car, and more!
Listen in to find out how we would have fixed this wishy washy drama and join us next week for the finale of "Black Knight".
Tally of superpowers so far: (bold = newly revealed this week)
Becky: immortality, everlasting youth, super strength, ability to wish good luck (on Sooho), using potion to take away memories, fake jewelry detection
Sharon: immortality, everlasting youth, making clothes that bestow good luck (on Haera), telekinesis, Mystique-like ability to steal one's appearance, power to inspire greed
Haera: ability to curse using the power of the moon
Sooho: luck, magical protection from a "loving heart", power of winning “rock, paper, scissors”, super strength, fast reflexes, ability to see what’s going on with Haera (but this only happens once)

Best out-of-context quote of this week: "We're better at murder than they are!" Judy and Teresa scoff at episodes 15-16 of "Black Knight” (흑기사), a KBS drama starring Shin SeKyung, Kim RaeWon, Seo JiHye and Jang MiHee.
Why are Sooho (Kim RaeWon) and Haera (Shin SeKyung) so determined to not acknowledge Sharon's (Seo JiHye) dangerous nature? Do you find it weird that both Sooho and Haera's moms died from "shock" like the show is implying that women just lose the will to live when their partners die? And yet, "marriage is a tomb" is tossed out like it's a funny line.
Digressions:
3:22 - Teresa's CSI methodology
5:55 - KDMEO is not sponsored by Dyson!

Our masterclass in vengeance continues! Judy and Teresa seethe through episodes 13-14 of "Black Knight" (흑기사), a KBS drama starring Shin SeKyung, Kim RaeWon, Seo JiHye and Jang MiHee.
Teresa reveals a dark side and Judy loves it. Why is Haera (Shin SeKyung) so willing to believe that her dad’s a murderer? Judy finds Chairman Park's (Kim ByungOk) murder/frame plot way too prescient. Does he have powers too? We're giving up on Sharon (Seo JiHye) now.

Judy and Teresa are shaking their heads through episodes 11-12 of "Black Knight" (흑기사), a KBS drama starring Shin SeKyung, Kim RaeWon, Seo JiHye and Jang MiHee.
Judy is incredibly disappointed with Sharon (Seo JiHye) for being completely inept at vengeance, something at which all Koreans should excel. The only thing Sharon manages to steal away from Haera is a $2 face mask. Yeah, we said it. Teresa has a visceral reaction to Gon (Park SungHoon) getting water thrown in his face. Meanwhile, Haera (Shin SeKyung) and Sooho (Kim RaeWon) are definitely getting more lovey-dovey to the point of cheesiness.
Digressions:
14:21 - Concept of couple rings
16:51 - Korean card game, hwatoo (actually hanafuda, of Japanese origin)
1:11:27 - Teresa wasn't allowed to watch "The Simpsons"

Judy and Teresa croak and sniffle their way through episodes 9-10 of " Black Knight (흑기사), a KBS drama starring Shin SeKyung, Kim RaeWon, Seo JiHye and Jang MiHee.
This week's episodes would draw us in with tense dramatic moments and then immediately ruin the mood with soap opera nonsense. Judy is loving the oh-so-convenient friendship between Sharon (Seo JiHye), Jihoon (Kim HyunJoon) and Gon (Park SungHoon). Those three really need all the social support they can get. Teresa is amused by Sharon's newfound interest in frying pans and wants her to start accessorizing all the time with them. How can we get a special episode focusing just on Sharon and Becky's (Jang MiHee) adventures through time?
Guys, body heat.
Did you just shudder? We did.
Digressions:
45:50 - Robert ruins moose knuckles for Teresa
53:45 - What's an English equivalent for "fighting"?

It's crucial to plan your vengeance properly! Judy and Teresa scoff/snort their way through episodes 7-8 of "Black Knight" (흑기사), a KBS drama starring Shin SeKyung, Kim RaeWon, Seo JiHye and Jang MiHee.
Judy and Teresa reveal their superficial sides as they discover their reasons for disliking Sooho (Kim RaeWon) and Gon (Park SungHoon), respectively. Judy thinks of a more effective way for Sharon (Seo JiHye) to use her Mystique powers to get rid of Haera (Shin SeKyung). Teresa is concerned about the safety of the stuntmen in the bathhouse scene.

Happy Valentine's Day! Judy and Teresa delve into the characters' tragic past lives in episodes 5-6 of " Black Knight (흑기사), a KBS drama starring Shin SeKyung, Kim RaeWon, Seo JiHye and Jang MiHee.
Judy and Teresa theorize that Sooho (Kim RaeWon) is a 모태솔로 (Korean term for someone who’s never dated), which would explain his dead fish kiss and his idea of romance in general. Judy thinks past Sooho and past Haera (Shin SeKyung) confirmed their love after he gave her the ring while Teresa didn't quite get that far. Teresa has never heard of "power blogging" and wonders if that's an actual thing.

Judy and Teresa slog through episodes 3-4 of " Black Knight (흑기사), a KBS drama starring Shin SeKyung, Kim RaeWon, Seo JiHye and Jang MiHee.
Judy decides to suffer from selective amnesia whenever Haera (Shin SeKyung) and Sooho (Kim RaeWon) have a conversation. She finds Gon (Park SungHoon) is more appealing than Sooho, who is, frankly, a manipulative douchebag. Teresa is the better person and gives Sooho and even Sharon (Seo JiHye) the benefit of the doubt, despite their shady conduct.

It's Teresa's first episode! She and Judy talk about episodes 1-2 of "Black Knight" (흑기사), a KBS drama, named after a Korean tradition which originates from unhealthy societal attitudes towards alcohol consumption. Hooray! It stars Shin SeKyung, Kim RaeWon, Seo JiHye and Jang MiHee.
Judy is terribly worried that Teresa will get an awful impression of Koreans from watching the superficial characters in this drama. Teresa wonders what kind of god punishes your sins by granting immortality and witch powers. Sooho (Kim RaeWon) sets off our douchebag alarm, which shouldn't be happening, right?
