I DON'T NEED YOUR F&*#ING RICE CAKES! Judy and Linda feel bogged down by episodes 7-8 of “Hospital Playlist” (슬기로운 의사생활), a TVN medical ensemble drama starring Jeon MiDo, Jo JungSuk, Yoo YeonSeok, Jung KyungHo and Kim DaeMyung.

If you have any suggestions for Fall First Impressions, please let us know ASAP! We might even plan a Watch Party with our Patreon donors!

Some of the nicknames we used for characters (continued from S1):

Buddha - Ahn JungWon, pediatric surgeon played by Yoo YeonSeok

Long Winter - Jang GyeoWool, General Surgery resident (now fellow!) played by Shin HyunBin

Dove - Lee IkSun, sister of IkJun (Jo JungSuk) played by Kwak SunYoung

Digressions:

3:37 - Judy's enjoying the art style of the new animated Marvel series, "What If?" but it's pretty cheesy.

6:41 - Linda binged all of "Atypical" on Netflix and is appreciating the spotlight on struggles of a high-functioning autistic teenager.

8:01 - Judy recently discovered The 8-Bit Big Band and is loving their crisp performances. Check out their Youtube page!

12:12 - Linda is watching "Santa Clarita Diet", the surprisingly bloody comedy starring Drew Barrymore and Timothy Olyphant.

13:37 - Surprise Listener E-mail!

16:21 - Linda checked out "Working Moms", a dark, adult comedy, surprisingly from CBC?!?!

Some Korean terms:

잔소리: [jan-so-ree] nagging.

떡: [ddeok] rice cake.

교수님: [gyo-soo-nim] Professor.

행운의 여신: [heng-oon-ui-yeo-shin] literally, "goddess of good luck".

니가 전화해, 시발: [nee-ga-jeon-hwa-heh-shi-bal] "Why don't you f---ing call her?".

후배: [hoo-beh] person in an organization with less experience; opposite of sunbae.

젊은이: [jeol-meu-nee] "young man".

Audio credits:
